Hi I'm Scott

I was born in California, but grew up in the city of my ancestors, Salt Lake City, Utah. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a self taught computer programmer. I was going to college until I met my wife, at which time I ran out of time and money for a formal education. I have been married for about 20 years and now have 5 lovely and wonderful children. I do not regret getting married and having a family at the cost of a college education, it was worth it! I am a self taught computer programmer. While it has been a struggle, I have been blessed and have a great job, despite the lack of any kind of degree. I am able to provide for my family, which is the most important thing to me.

Why I am a Mormon

My ancestors were Mormon. It was my fourth and fifth generation ancestors of my family that were converted to the gospel. They were all involved in the rich heritage of the beginnings of the church. I have learned many things about them and their struggles and am amazed at their dedication to the things that they believed in. While I grew up as a Mormon, I still had to study and find out for myself the truthfulness of the gospel. The more I study myself, the gospel of Jesus Christ as taught by his Apostles, ancient and modern, the more I am convinced of the purity and truthfulness of it. It just makes sense to me. I believe it with all my soul and being, and I love it.

How I live my faith

The gospel of Jesus Christ has made me a much better person. While I live in this crazy world with many trials and tribulations, I have hope for myself and the future because of the gospel of Jesus Christ. It has shown me there is a better way. It has shown me that I am a son of God and that He loves me. He will not abandon his children and because of that He sent His only Begotten Son.
