Hi I'm Connie

My birthplace was southern Utah however, now my home is Arizona and I am a Mormon

About Me

My parents had married without finishing highschool, so obtaining an education was something they wanted all their children to complete. For me, after highschool college was not a question. Serving a mission also became a desire and the Indiana Mission was my place of service. Marriage came later in my life, but not so late that we could not have children, six was our magical number. My husband has been self employed, and we were able to all participate in this business. Being a mother has been my greatest challenge and blessing. Much of what makes up my life, or makes me the individual that I am is the things that by serving in the church have enriched my life. Cooking, reading, studying, playing the piano, singing, enjoying visiting older people, and more are because of my love to know and be like Our Savior. Trying to see others needs and serve wisely is my daily goal.

Why I am a Mormon

Somewhere in my home as a youth sweet feelings came into my heart to let me know that there truly is a Father in Heaven, and His Son, Jesus Christ, did come to earth and died for my sins. A Living Prophet also was a doctrine that felt true, and if so, the teachings of a Prophet of God were Gods' own words. This was like a seed in my heart that grew stronger and stronger, doubt was always replaced with increased faith and personal testimony. Living the life of a Mormon has purpose to my existence on this earth.

How I live my faith

Serving a mission instilled in me a desire to alway begin each day with prayer and scripture study, this helps me focus my actions for the day in Jesus Christ. My life is more than just this earthly existence and with that as my reminder trying to be kinder and thoughtful of othersis important. Serving in the church, preparing lessons or learning songs to play for the congregation are activicites that fill my days and weeks. My largest challenge has been learning to play the organ and piano. My bishop called me to be the ward organist when this was not my gift or talent, however with prayer and much time to practice it is getting better. Blessings have come into my life with accepting each calling.
