Hi I'm Jim

I'm a woodworker, a husband, a father, a papa. I love classic rock and gardening and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am the youngest of eight children. I met my wife in the seventh grade. We have three children and six grandsons and more on the way. I have done woodworking for the past 30 something years. I love music, gardening, reading about peoples lives and history. My family and friends are amazing and mean everything to me. I had a brain tumor in November of 1999. I can do most things but have some nerve damage. I feel fortunate to still be able to function for the most part.

Why I am a Mormon

My Dad was the most Christlike man I ever knew. I always felt that if I could become similar to what he was I would be in good shape. Like many I've read alot to try to find my purpose here on this Earth. Surprisingly, my own answer came from a few defining experiences. I know I could have read 4000 books but realized it is a spiritual feeling rather than learning from a book. I treasure those few experiences. That is why I continue to try to move forward with faith. I want to leave my mark somehow. I want to do good. I want to contribute to the un-met needs of other people.

How I live my faith

I try to follow the example of my family and treat others with dignity and respect.
