Hi I'm Dan

I am a small town farm boy from Idaho. I am a medical school student, an uncle several times over, and a husband. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a full-time student in medical school and just beginning my years of hospital training. I really enjoy serving and helping others to overcome the trials and challenges that they face in life. I serve in the local homeless clinic for the uninsured in my community, and coordinate fundraising activities to help keep the clinic operating. In my free time I like to spend time in the outdoors, playing sports, learning new things, working with my hands, and spending time with those I love. I am married to the love of my life, she is my pillar of support through her example of faith, love, and understanding as we face the trials of this life. I look forward to raising a family with her when that chapter of our life together begins. I am also an uncle several time over and love getting back home to play with my nephews and niece whenever we get the chance.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a family where the gospel of Jesus Christ was part of the way we lived our lives. We worked together our farm, had family activities together, served in the community, read scriptures and prayed together, but most importantly truly loved and supported each other. Though the faith and examples of my father and mother, their diligence in pointing me toward my Heavenly Father during my own times of need, I have come to know just how true and wonderful the gospel of Jesus Christ really is. As an "invincible" teenager at seventeen, I was truly able to come to know just how individually our Heavenly Father knows and answers our prayers of faith, as I struggled to meet a physical challenge beyond my own abilities to overcome. Since then I have always relied on my faith in the power of prayer to find answers for myself when I have doubts or others question my about my beliefs. I can truly say that I do know for myself that my Savior lives, that he knows and loves me personally, and that he guides The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints through a living prophet today. I count myself as being blessed to be a member of this church and to be able to follow a prophet of God.

How I live my faith

I strive to live my faith each day in the way that I treat others and seeking to find even the smallest opportunities to bring joy into the lives of those who are struggling with the challenges they face. I also serve in my church in helping to teach lessons, organizing service and recreational activities for the members to participate in, and by making sure the needs of the families I meet with are being meet both spiritually and physically.
