Hi I'm Michael McClure

I grew up in Ohio with my parents, two sisters and a brother. I work for a healthcare company. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am an executive in a healthcare company that provides electronic prescription writing services to physicians in the United States. I am a father of seven children, five girls and two boys. I enjoy playing golf, reading and traveling to places in the world that I have never seen.

Why I am a Mormon

I became acquainted with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints when I was living at home with my parents. We always went to Church on Sundays as a family. My Grandmother always came with us. The missionaries came to our home and taught our family. We started attending Church with them on Sundays. I made some friends quickly who helped me better understand the transition our family was making. I felt good at these meetings. I could see how happy my new friends and their families were. It was very different from our other Church where we spent all of our time with our family. Now, after years of being a member of the Church, I am really happy that our family joined the Mormon Church. Our lives have been so good! I have learned for myself that there is great peace and happiness in choosing to follow God's commandments. It gives me great joy to know that God speaks to His children through prophets. We need it more today than ever with the challenges that we and our children face.

How I live my faith

Today, I teach fifteen year olds in Sunday School. I love this calling! This year we are studying the New Testament. Most of these kids are reading it, but still trying to understand what it says. I enjoy helping them understand what they read. They all participate and it is a great experience. Over the last 30 years, I have served in many other callings with the youth and with adults. The Church has provided so many ways to help people it is amazing! It has been a wonderful experience to serve others in our Church. Thirty years ago I served a mission in Venezuela. Although I am unable to contact them now, I still pray for them.

How can I find someone to talk with, in person, about the Mormon religion?

Michael McClure
Stop our missionaries on the street. They are always willing to talk! Ask one of your friends if they know a Mormon. I guarantee they will know one us. We would be delighted to answer any question you may have. If we don't know the answer to your question, we'll quickly find out and get back to you! Thanks for asking! Show more Show less
