Hi I'm Josh Robinson

I grew up in California and Arizona. I love my family, friends, and having fun! I'm currently serving a mission in Sydney.

About Me

Hi I'm Josh. I'm currently serving a mission for the LDS Church. Before I left I attended a year of college and loved it. I love my family. I have a niece and a nephew. I also love hanging out with my friends. I have a few really close friends that I like to spend a lot of time with. They are super important to me. I love to be active. I enjoy activities such as basketball, wake-boarding, surfing, backpacking, and just going on adventures. I enjoy learning, reading, listening to music, and traveling.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I know that the church is true, it is really as simple as that. I know that the Savior lives, and that He is the head of the church. I also know that this church can bless lives, inasmuch as people will let it. I know that following the laws and commandments in this Gospel will bring people closer to Christ than anything else will in life. I also believe that this is the path that leads to everlasting life, everlasting peace, everlasting happiness, and an everlasting family that is sealed together. A lot in life can bring happiness, but this is the way that is shown to direct us to an eternal perspective.

How I live my faith

I live my faith first and foremost by trying to be a good citizen of the world. If we cannot come to love the world, and everyone in it, then we are not living the lives we need to. That includes having respect for all people, regardless of their culture, history, or even religion. I try to pattern my life in every way after the perfect example of the Savior. I do that through reading and studying His word in the scriptures, and through drawing nearer to Him through prayer. Much of how I live my faith is personal, and will only be seen by Him. For this time in my life, I also have the opportunity to be serving a full time mission. I'm grateful that I have the opportunity to spread something that has given me so much joy in life.

What do Mormons believe about the Bible? Do they regard it as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Josh Robinson
We absolutely believe that the Bible is the word of God. Through studying the Bible, people draw closer to Jesus Christ, Heavenly Father, Feel the Holy Spirit, and learn eternal truths. It contains the fulness of the Gospel, and as people live the teachings in the Bible, they are preparing themselves to live with Heavenly Father again. However, the bible is not the only thing that teaches us to do this. The Lord, through his mercy and wisdom, has directed other works to come forward, most notably the Book of Mormon.
