Hi I'm Ginger

I grew up in Idaho, working summers on my Uncles farm. I am the mother of five wonderful, busy, children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married for 15 years, and I have five wonderful children, ages 14 to 4. We don't have very many dull moments around our house! For example the four year old just came to me and tattled, "brother just called me stupid, and I love you". I love being a full time Mom, it is a lot of work, but I love it. I enjoy reading, I listen to audio books while I fold laundry and sweep the floor, so it makes the work a little less tedious. I love to garden, I love to see the new growth on trees, or flowers peeking out in all their splendor.

Why I am a Mormon

I love being a Mormon. I grew up in a Mormon family, I was taught as a young child about the church. As I grew older and I attended church, read the scriptures with my family, and prayed about the church I came to know for myself that this was Gods church. It is hard to explain the joy and peace that I feel when I attend church, or when I pray, or study the gospel, but that is why I do it. I need that peace and comfort from my Savior Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I think that teaching my children about Christ is one of my most important responsibilities. I enjoy teaching my children about Christ, I love it when their eyes light up in understanding. I love telling them stories from the Bible, and Book of Mormon. I love the programs that my children participate in at church. There are so many volunteers that help my kids become better people. I was a cub scout den Mother for just over four years while two of my boys went through the program. I had a blast planning weekly activities that were designed to help 8 and 9 year old boys have fun, and learn something at the same time. Recently I became the secretary for the children's organization. We have a few hundred children that attend our meetings every week. One of the things that I do is to ask a couple of children each week to share a talk or scripture in front of all the other children, it is sometimes amusing, and adorable to hear what little children think about Christ. Children are so good at simplifying things, and they remind me about what is truly important in this life.
