Hi I'm Diane

I grew up in New Hampshire. I am married to a wonderful guy and have 5 children and 9 grandchildren. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My husband and I have been married 40 years. I love spending time with my husband, children and grandchildren. I enjoy kayaking, dancing, hiking and camping, and reading. Although my rheumatoid arthritis and some back problems limit me somewhat. I still love to do these things and I love my life.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was a young girl I used to wonder why there were no prophets on earth today or why there was no written history of God’s dealings with people in parts of the world other than the Holy Land. Didn’t He love us today just as much as in the days of the early prophets? Didn’t he love his children throughout the world equally? When I was 17, I met the Missionaries. They told me there was a prophet on earth today and that there was a written history in the Book of Mormon about Christ’s visit to the new world. Through prayer and study I came to know for myself that the teachings of the missionaries are true and that the Lord loves all his children.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to follow the example of the Savior. I have many faults but through my faith in Jesus Christ, I am trying to overcome them. As I read the Bible and Book of Mormon I find that I have greater love towards others and have a greater desire to serve. It is my faith that helps me through trials and time of extreme pain. It is those times when I feel the Lord closest to me. He gives me comfort when no one else can. Studying his words helps me to feel close to him and lets me know that he is always with me.
