Hi I'm Kristin

I was adopted into a Mormon family. I grew up in Arizona. I am now married and a mom of three children and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born to a16 year-old girl who despite the stigma of being a young pregnant teen in 1973 chose to keep me, carry me, deliver me, and then unselfishly give me to a mother and father that loved me as their own. I was raised in an LDS home that taught me the importance of family and always remaining true to who I am. I attended college where I not only received my degree, but I also met the love of my life and together, we were sealed for time and all eternity in the House of the Lord--the temple. We have three children who truly are the joy of my existence. They bring much happiness, love, and peace to our home. I have done many forms of work in my life: I've worked retail, I've been a banker, I've managed properties, I've taught piano, I've accompanied many choirs, I've substitute taught in a variety of classrooms, and I currently work for the church. Each position has added a different dimension to my life. I've served in many capacities throughout my life outside of the church as well as within the church. Through the many experiences I've had thus far, I have always remained strong in the gospel and know that it is true. It is the reason I wake up each and every day and move on. I look forward to opportunities to serve others, learn more, and become a better person.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always remained faithful in the gospel of Jesus Christ because of the many blessings He has poured upon me. My Savior has always been there for me through my trials, my achievements, my disappointments, and my sorrows. It is because of His love that I am strong today. He has never let me down. He has never left me to struggle alone. He is always there and loves me. The more I study about Him, the more I love him. Without the gospel, I don't know where I would be today. It has given me the tools necessary to live a good life, make right choices, and most importantly, the opportunity to live with Him once again someday.

How I live my faith

I have had many opportunities to serve within the church including teaching the young children, teaching the youth, and teaching the women. I've served in many capacities as an accompanist or pianist. I've also served in several administrative positions which have allowed me to see how organized the plan of the gospel is. I've also been privileged to participate in community activities that provided service to youth in our schools, those who are less fortunate during the holiday season, as well as those within our neighborhood and church congregation that are in need. It is true that in serving others you lose yourself. I have learned that when I am serving, I am less concerned about my needs and more concerned about the needs of others. I enjoy serving others and look for opportunities to serve each and every day.
