Hi I'm Mia

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a single mother of two, a handsome 10 year old son and a beautiful 8 year old daughter. I am a returned missionary from the Montana Billings Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents found the Church when I was 9 years old, and we were baptized. During my youth, my family went in and out of activity in the church. I always believed that the church was true, but it wasn't until I was almost 21and I was hanging out with the wrong crowd that I started to really find out for myself. I wasn't going to church on Sundays, but I was attending institute classes at the local college I was attending. One day I went to class and my teacher asked me why I was attending his classes everyday, but not attending church on Sunday's. I told him how I could hear the girls I knew talk about me and I didn't like it. He then asked me why I went to church and I told him, because I am supposed to. Why, he asked me again. I told him because It is what the Lord wants me to do. He then told me something that I have never forgotten, that made all the difference in the world to me. He told me that the gospel of Jesus Christ is true, no matter what the people do. This means that we are all human and none of us is perfect and we all get caught up in Satan's tactics sometimes...gossiping, telling stories and being mean to each other are just a few of the things we all do at time. This is all part of Satan's plan not the Lord and his Son, Jesus Christ. We are just human, but the reason we are here is to become better people with the help of our Savior. It was then that I really realized how much I loved my Savior and how much I wanted others to know that as well. So I changed things and decided to serve a full time mission. I will forever be eternally grateful for that opportunity to love and serve the Lord's children and bring them to Him. Most of all I am grateful for being able to bring my soul to Christ and that of my children.

How I live my faith

I have served the young children in our church from the ages of 18 months to 12 years of age. I have also visited and taught the sisters in our church as well. I have also used my talents to set up parties and get together's for our members. I enjoy sharing my talents of party planning, cooking, crafting and music with others. I have volunteered in the community, by helping my children's schools, Cub Scouts & Girl Scout troops, and their swim teams. I live my faith by trying to be more Christ-like every day. It isn't always easy but I have found the more I serve others the easier it is to keep His Spirit with me and the more joy I find in helping others.
