Hi I'm Josh

I am an Athlete and a Freind. I would do almost anyting for anyone and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hey My name is Josh Bateman and I am 21 years old. I love to play any sport and talk to everyone I can. I have always been a member of the mormon chruch, but haven't lived the standards my whole life. I have come to find out that true happiness is fallowing the gospel of Jesus Christ. The fullness of that gospel is found in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I have an amazing family that would do anyting for me at anytime of the day. I am a college student and studing for a degree in Business Management. I plan on being a sports agent for a carrer and am excited to do so. I look forward to be married in a LDS Temple for time and all eternity with a wonderful young ladie.

Why I am a Mormon

My family has always been members of the LDS church. When I was 2 my Dad passed away and at theat time my mom had to raise 3 boys ages 5,4,2 and she was 8 months pregnet with my little sister. This was a really hard time for my mother and lead to us leaving the church for a while. Well later on in life through the influance of mostly friends my two old brothers choose to serve missions. Then through their examples I was able to choose to serve a mission of my own in Ohio. That 2 years in Ohio has changed my life in amazing ways and the time there will always be a giant part of my life. I am a Mormon because I have lived without the LDS standard for most of my life and I know the happiness the comes from living them. I choose to be happy!

How I live my faith

I live it my faith with being an example and by making everyone around me feel important and happy. That is what the Savior did and that is the example that I choose to fallow. There i snothing better then changing someones life just by thanking them for the little things that they do. I invite you to thank the greeter at Walmart next time you are in there and you will see a smile come over their face and will not only make their day, but yours as well!

Why don’t Mormons have paid clergy?

Josh
The church has a lot of wonderful people who give a lot of their time to building up the Lords kingdom here on earth. Every position in the church has no income attached to it! We all have our own jobs and ways to make money to provide for the things that we need. The final answer I would give to this question on why there is no paid clergy in the church. Is because that is how the Saviour did it. This is His church in the Latter-Days and I is under his diretion. We have a prophet on the earth today and his names is Thomas S. Monson and when the Lord speaks to him. He then tells us and we choose wheather do fallow his council or not. Show more Show less
