Hi I'm David Steven Wright

I was raised in the small Southwest Utah town of Milford. At the age of 14 "what is it about age 14" I experienced a miracle.

About Me

I have a loving wife whom I have been married to for 36 years, and we have 4 grown children who have added 7 grandchildren to our growing family with one more on the way. At the age of 14 I was very engaged in the Boy Scouts of America and was working on my Eagle Scout rank. One of my elective merit badges was bicycling, while working on my 4th biking trip I was hit by a car traveling 70 miles per hour. This accident put me in the hospital for 3 months and required another 4 years of special medical treatments to enable me to return to a more normal life. I successfully completed a 2 year mission for the church to Oregon, and then married a wonderful young women in the Salt Lake Temple. I had one bad day when I was age 14 and every day since then has been a pleasure to enjoy and live.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a son of God and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints here on this earth. I do not prefer to be called a Mormon. I know God and Jesus Christ live and I experience them daily as I travel my journey of progression, development, and living a life founded upon the teachings of Jesus Christ. I gained my testimony as did the Savior and all those before me line upon line and precept upon precept. I have always felt the presense of the Holy Ghost prompting and showing me the best path to follow. I know that because of my relationship with Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost I am not alone and can complete a successful journey back to my eternal home.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving as a member of the Stake High Council, where I have assignments to assist the Stake Sunday School Presidency, the Stake Welfare, and the Priesthood in one of the wards in the stake. This calling is very fulfilling as I have the opportunity to serve my fellow brothers and sisters and our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
