Hi I'm Joni

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to read. The first thing I do when I move to a new place is go to the library and get a library card. I like to read Christian fiction. I am a quilter. I have been quilting for 17 years and have made many quilts, purses, wallhangings and I keep a quilt journal with pictures. I have been married for over 18 years. I am a mom. I have a gown son from my first marriage that I raised on my own for 16 years. Being married is a blessing in my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the Church when I was stationed in Germany with the US Army. I read the Book of Mormon and it touched my heart. I was far away from home and lonely. My sister who had joined the Church several months earlier with her husband, told me to see if the women from the church met on post for a work meeting. When I went and met the sisters, it felt like coming home. I took the missionary discussions in the home of a member and was baptized. I knew that this was the true church on the earth and that Jesus Christ was my Savior and Redeemer, that he atoned for me!

How I live my faith

We have recently moved and I am excited to get to know the members of our new ward. My husband and I make time each day to read our scriptures and we are reading the Book of Mormon right now. I also read the lessons that we will be discussing each Sunday to be prepared and able to participate in discussions.
