Hi I'm keirra

We have been married for 16 years, I am a mother to five daughters, a full time mom, I have M.S. and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Idaho to a family with three brothers, I am the only girl. I always hated not having a sister and even now feel like I have missed out on something by not having one. But luckily I gave birth to five daughters! Our first child had Turner Syndrome and unfortuantly didn't live passed the fifth month of my pregnancy. I look forward to the day that we can hold her again! Our next daughter is 13, then 10, then 8, then 5. My husband and I have been married for almost 17 years! We have changed so much....we have definitely "grown-up" together during those years. I like to volunteer in my girl's school where/when ever I can. My favorite spot is in the classroom to see my girls, and have the chance to get to know their friends. Five years ago I was diagnosed with M.S. (multiple sclerosis). I take a daily shot to slow the progression of the disease. I feel lucky to have a family and friends that love and support me! The hardest part for me is the unknown, how this will affect my future and also that this is a life long trial that I will have to learn to conquer! Most days are just fine and some days I need to rely more on my Savior for comfort and peace! But all in all I am very, very blessed!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in a Latter day saint home, but I have had to learn why this gospel is important to me, on my own and by following Gods commandments. I am so happy to know of the plan of salvation, to know that I once lived with Heavenly Father, that I am here to gain knowledge and try to be the best me! I am so thankful to know that I can live with my loved ones again after this life, those I have lost and loved and those that are here now! I am a mormon because it brings me peace, comfort, understanding, hope and love!

How I live my faith

I serve in the sunday school, teaching lessons to the adults on Sundays. This gives me an added chance to really study the scriptures (this year the New testament), the life of the Savior and expand my knowledge of them. I also visit or contact 3 woman I have been assigned to each month. It gives me a chance to meet new woman in our congregation, keep informed about their lifes, and deliver an uplifting thought, often from the scriptures. This "assignment" is also a great way to be aware of ways we can serve one another, because we are in frequent contact with these woman. I also like to attend humanitarian days once a month where I can help produce blankets, christmas stockings and other items to be donated to those who are in need. We try hard to teach our girls to love everyone, to be a friend to everyone and pay special attention to those who are left out. I am far from perfect, I make many mistakes. I realize no one lived a perfect life except for our Savior! But I also know that if I try my very best to live like Him I am happier. I am a better mother, wife and a better friend! My biggest source of comfort is when I go to Heavenly Father in prayer, those moments of peace help me stay on track and be the best me!

What do Mormons believe is the purpose of life?

We believe we are sent here to receive a physical body, use our God given agency to learn for ourselves to choose right from wrong and to be tested through trials and everyday life. By following Heavenly Fathers plan we can have peace and understanding of why we are here, where we will go when we die and how we can be happy now and in the next life. Show more Show less
