Hi I'm Amanda

I grew up in Canada, have lived in Florida, Utah, Nebraska, Oklahoma, and now Colorado. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love music. It inspires me! I got my associates degree in piano performance, and enjoy playing beautiful soft music, along with the loud, fast, intense classical music that sounds angry and exalting at the same time. My time is spent with my hubby and 4 kiddos.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into this church. But I remember distinctly when I was serving a mission, the time when I KNEW it was the true church for me. I was teaching a non-member the missionary lessons, and when I came to the Joseph Smith vision, and told it, there was such a feeling of warmth and understanding in my heart and mind. I knew the Book of Mormon was true completely. From that point on, the gospel has grown in my heart and spirit, and is a very important part of my life.

How I live my faith

I'm learning to just be myself, and not try to be someone else. If we are true to ourselves, then that takes away so many little things that we think we need to do. I have had many opportunities to serve at church and in my family. I've learned that it doesn't matter where we serve, it matters how we serve. Whatever I am asked to do, becomes a priority to me. Teaching my children is the most important service I can do. Supporting my spouse in his service opportunities is key for him to be able to live his full potential. I feel the Lord blesses my family very much. Service is the way I try to live my faith.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

This is my favorite part of the gospel. I know this to be true! It inspires me to do better each day, just so I can be a part of my family, as well as a part of my heavenly family again. Show more Show less
