Hi I'm Alma Weaver

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I married my wife in Aug of 1993. We are the parents of 3 boys, and 2 girls. At this time we have 5 grandsons, and 5 granddaughters. I started plumbing in 1974 and have been doing that ever since. I have been active in basketball, and softball until the last few years. I am also an avid big game hunter. Since 2009 I have been singing bass with the Sound of the Rockies Barbershop chorus. They are one of the worlds premier choruses, and this has been real fun. I recently started working for Welby Gardens. They grow lots of plants. There are miles of pipes that seem to need constant repairing. What an amazing atmosphere.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born to a mormon family 6 brothers, 3 sisters. We had a great experience as children. Not much in the way of store bought things, but lots of love and fun. We always had a full team of whatever sport was in season. We lived in mormon communities, so we were the rule, not the exception. At 19 I chose to serve a mission for the church, and my family supported me both financially and emotionally. There I learned not only the principals of the gospel of Jesus Christ, but more importantly that through Him I can return to my heavenly home, and spend the eternities with the family I love. Since then I have a family of my own, and it continues to grow. More to love. My life, like everyones has had challenges and my love for my family, and my Heavenly Father have given me the strength to overcome those challenges.

How I live my faith

Growing up in a large family of boys means Boy Scouts. I have served in scouting for over 30 years. There is always an other generation of boys wanting to go camping and learn life skills. I also visit others in our community and encourage them to stay close to their Heavenly Father. I believe we have a responsibility to provide for ourselves as much as we can. I garden and hunt, not only for the food, but mostly for the knowledge of how to do it.
