Hi I'm Dennis

I have lived in the Gilbert area almost 60 years. I have seen many changes in the area which make me happy, and I am a mormon.

About Me

I was raised in the Gilbert area and have lived here most of my life. My wife and I have been married for 35 years and have 5 grown children and 8 grandchildren. This area has been a great place to raise our family. Our children have been able to raise many different types of animals and work in many different gardens. I am a 3rd generation Arizonian and like to read about how my ancestors came to live here from many different parts of the world. My earliest ancestors that came to America were Edward and Ann Fuller who came in 1620 on the Mayflower. Others came a few years later from England and Germany looking for regilious freedoms. I have learned from them many things and am grateful to all my ancestors for the sacrifices they made for their decendants. I am glad that we have such a great geneology program that helps us find out who our ancestors are, because knowing who they are helps me know who I am.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a Mormon family. My ancestors were able to recognize that the teachings the missionaries shared with them was the gospel of Jesus Christ restored to the earth through the Lord's mouthpiece, Joseph Smith Jr. and joind the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in it's infancy. Stalwart and faithful they pressed forward in faith through trials and persecution living exemptletory lives. I have strong parents who instilled in me a good work ethic and a love for the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I was able to gain a testimony of my own, serve a mission, marry for eternity in the Temple and raise a family. I believe that we have the ability to recieve direction from our Father in Heaven to help us in our lives, especially when it comes to raising a family. Many times we have been given direction from Him through prayer and inspiration which has helped us in times that we did not know what to do. He does love us and wants what is best for us.

How I live my faith

Day by day! It takes determination and commitment to honor the Commandments of our Heavenly Father. I live my faith in Jesus Christ by keeping the commandments of The Lord and serving those around me. I have worked with the different age groups in the church, but with the 12-18 age boys in the scouting program the most.
