Hi I'm Matt

I grew up in Washington. I am now living in Denver with my wife. I teach middle school and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married now for a little more than 2 years. I just graduated college and will begin my career soon. I love to watch college sports, especially football. I also like to be outdoors camping, skiing, and hiking.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because for one I was born into a family of Mormons. But as I grew up I couldn't just keep going to church or following this gospel because I was in my family. It took time, but I gained a testimony of the Book of Mormon and gained knowledge for myself that this church is God's church, and following what God wants me to do is why I have such a happy and blessed life. I believe that God is our Heavenly Father, and he is very merciful. We are His children and He loves us all individually very much.

How I live my faith

I live my faith mainly by day to day activities. I pray everyday, read scriptures everyday, go to church on Sunday, and I try to be a good example for others to follow. As part of being a member, I do have some responsibilities in the church. Home teaching is the biggest one for me. Every month, I and another member go visit some families we are assigned to. The purpose of home teaching to me is to bring a gospel message to the family and also make sure that their physical needs are being met.
