Hi I'm Marshall

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Arizona. Went to college in Utah. Lived in San Jose, California for 10 years. Fell in Love with a girl from Arizona that I met in San Jose. We married and now have 3 children. I work for a company that builds electronics all over the world. I like to cook. I enjoy traveling and experiencing other cultures. I like to attend the temple with my wife. I like to play with my kids. I love being a husband and a father.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe that our Heavenly Father loves each of his children. I am a Mormon because I believe that Jesus Christ is the son of God and have a personal appreciation of his role in permitting us to return to live with our Heavenly Father after this life. I am a Mormon because I received an answer when I prayed to God to know if the Book of Mormon is a true book of scripture. I am a Mormon because I believe that Joseph Smith, Junior was a prophet of God. I am a Mormon because I believe that we have a prophet on the earth today--and that he teaches us what we need to know to live the way we should so that we can be happy and ultimately live with God again.

How I live my faith

I've seen what a difference the gospel of Jesus Christ can make in my life and in the lives of others. I've learned both through my own experiences and from the experiences of others that we are truly happy when we follow the example of Jesus. I believe that God has given us commandments not to restrict us but rather to bless our lives and lead us toward true happiness. He has given us commandments because He loves us. I've learned that when we choose to act contrary to how our Father in Heaven would want us to act--when we disobey the commandments that he has given us--that we are not happy. Furthermore, I've learned that when we make good choices and act the way God would want us to act that we are happy. Now that I am trying to raise my own children and teach them I've become even more grateful for commandments. God loves us, He cares about us, and He wants us to be happy. I try to follow the example that Jesus gave us when he lived on the earth--I try to treat others with respect--to treat them the way I would want to be treated.
