Hi I'm Blake

I live in Colorado and the father of 4 wonderful daughters. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married and the father of four wonderful daughters. My two oldest daughters are married to two great young men who are an important part of our family. My life is centered around my family. A large portion of my life is finding the balance between being a husband, father, an ecclesiastical leader in our church and running a 20,000 employee company. Life can be busy! I applaud those men who have that all figured out! I take advantage of those moments when I can to breakaway and get in a round of golf with friends! Although, it is great to know, at the end of a busy day, I can come home and be with a great family who cares about me. Life is never dull!

Why I am a Mormon

I love being a Mormon because the church teaches me what my purpose is in this life as a husband, father and a citizen in our community. As busy as I am, I know that the most important thing in my life is my family. The Mormon church is centered around the family! What a great principle to know and live by. I know that my Heavenly Father is there with me, every minute during my day, guiding me and helping me be a better person as I follow His teachings that are found in His gospel. What a great assurance it is to know that!

How I live my faith

The principles that I have been taught in the Mormon church are principles that I use in my everday life in my home and work environment. That is to say, I strive to be honest, trustworthy, hard working and stand for (and teach) correct principles. The things that are taught on Sunday should not be undone during the week. Today, I am a lay ecclesiastical leader of a local congregation. This gives me the opportunity to work with all members in our congregation and oversee their spiritual and temporal welfare. This requires a great deal of time during each week. Although, as much time as I put into my church calling, I receive 10x in return in terms of happiness and blessings as I serve others. Because in the end, serving and caring for others is what this life is really all about!
