Hi I'm Steve Moua

I'm a Mormon. I am Hmong original from Laos.

About Me

I was born in Laos. I have studied in Thailand, and also I lived in Paris, France. I came to the United States since 1979. I met my wife" Colleen" and married in Utah. We have 3 kids. I like to read books especially about religion, health and travel.

Why I am a Mormon

People like to call us the " Mormons", but we call ourselves as LDS which stands for Latter- Day Saints. I search and look for God many years and I have attended many Christian's churches. I see that almost all the churches are interesting and mostlly like to join. But I cannot find the truth. I accidently came to join the church in 1999. I researched, studied, and prayed a lot. In the end, I found out that this church is the true church of Jesus Christ at latter days. I am so grateful and happy. There are many reasons that I will share with you. There are: I. I believe that only LDS can answer my questions such as what is the purpose of life, where we come from and when we die where we will go. II. LDS are lead by a true prophet and apostles (Amos 3:7). III. We can do only convenants(people) with God thru temple ordinances (Eph 1:13, 4:30). We can seal with our loving family together, and also our ancestors (baptism for the death) for eternity. IV. LDS is established by our Lord Jesus Christ himself (Mat 16: 18-19; Eph 2:20). V. There are 2 trees in the Bible: The tree of knowledge of good and evil and the tree of Life. The Book of Mormon tells us about this tree how we can eat its fruit and live for eternity. VI. Only the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints knows the power of God and acts upon the authority of God, not by men, and VII. Besides the Revelations that wrote in the Bible matched with LDS and all are true (See, Isa 2:2, Dan 7: 13-14, 1 Cor 2: 9-10, and Rev 14:6). It is true that God loves us dearly and truly. To look after Him, we need to search, knock and ASK (pray) ( Jeremiah 29:13), He certainly reveals the truth and knowledge of his kingdom to us. Finally, I believe we should need to workship whom He can give us our soul and body for eternity.

How I live my faith

I am so grateful to become a Mormon. People believe that LDS (men) can have many wives, but the true is we cherish or promote (by our Lord) to have only one wife and one husband. This revelation is clear stated in the Book of Mormon and Doctrine and covenants. LDS is a society that we are not allowed to drink alcohol, coffee or smoke. I like this principal even Doctors are agree with. I like " scouts" for my kids so they will know how to save and help themselves and others when they are in the wilderness; LDS promotes this philosophy. Besides food's cannery is also a good program to all members in case difficult time. Women are our sisters and men are our brothers. We trust each other by caring, helping, teaching, and supporting each other by calling to serve in our ward. I believe I have chosen the right pay to follow with one Lord, one faith, and one baptism (under water, and laying hands to receive the Holy Ghost) ( Ephesians 4: 5-6). I have faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, He is our Savior and Redeemer. He can forgive our sin and thru Him; we can have our soul and body together for eternity. I have hope and I will obey whatever He commends me and endure to the end.
