Hi I'm Bryan Heiner

I grew up in Utah but ended up in Colorado. My family and I love it and we love being a Mormons.

About Me

I am a father, husband and a hydraulics engineer. I enjoy the outdoors and spend as much time as possible in them. I also enjoy sports, music, movies and playing with my family. I often get myself in over my head working with wood, doing home improvements, assisting in neighborhood projects and tinkering with whatever I can get my hands on. My dad was an industrial arts teacher at a local high school and helped me learn to how to build and fix things. Throughout high school I was the proud owner of several old and unreliable cars but with my dads help one of them always seemed to get me to the many places I was headed. Recently I have gained an appreciation for hunting to provide food for my family. I can't wait to get into the Colorado mountains and explore the wildlife and terrain.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have discovered for myself that this is the true church of Jesus Christ on the earth once again. By calling a prophet (Joseph Smith) in 1830 our Heavenly Father and his son Jesus Christ were able to restore all the truths and authorities that existed in the primitive church. The power of God known as his priesthood has once again been restored. This power allows us to enjoy the blessings of baptism, reception of the Holy Ghost and other necessary ordinances that allow us to return and live with our father. In addition to personal blessings, through the restoration of his true church, Jesus Christ has made it possible for me to live with my family for ever, even after death.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by participating in any way possible to promote, expand and help more of our Heavenly Fathers children return to his presence. To me living my faith involves being an example in what do, say and how I respond to situations. I love meeting new people and try to demonstrate Christlike characteristics in a way that invites others to learn more from him. I ride the public transportation to work. During the hour long each way commute I try and read the scriptures. I have set a goal to read all the scriptures available to us each year, these include the Bible, Book of Mormon, Pearl of Great Price and the Doctrine and Covenants. The personal insight and opportunities to better understand and live Christs gospel are illuminating when a study of the scriptures occurs.
