Hi I'm Cindy

I'm a stay-at-home mom. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married for almost 20 years. We have four children, two boys and two girls. We live on a great cul-de-sac with fantastic neighbors. I love being a wife and mother. While I have done work on the side from time to time, I feel very lucky to spend my time as a full-time mom. As for hobbies, I like to do all kinds of things. I love to cook, garden, sew and read. I like to be outside, hiking and camping, or just walking the dog. I like to do home improvement projects. I love to do things with my husband, everything from talking and rocking on the porch to going out to eat.

Why I am a Mormon

The gospel of Jesus Christ, as taught by the Church, has always been a big part of my life. I grew up as a Mormon in a home filled with love. Over and over again, I have seen how God has blessed me as I keep His commandments. As a teenager, I realized that the high standards of the Mormon lifestyle brought me lot of safety and peace. As a young mother, I recognized how much we need prayer and heaven's help in raising our children. Through my service in the Church, I have become friends with some amazing people. The most basic reason that I'm a Mormon is because I sincerely feel in my heart that this is God's Church on earth. I know that there is a God in heaven who knows each of us and wants the best for us. I'm grateful for my Savior, Jesus Christ, for His teachings and for His great atoning sacrifice. I feel inspired to be better when I listen to the prophet of our day. The gospel blesses my family and home with happiness and love. The teachings and doctrines of the Mormon Church help me feel close to God, bring peace into my heart, and show me the way to be a better person.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to keep the commandments of God. I pray, read scriptures, and attend church. I look for the chance to help others. I strive to be honest and kind. I think of Jesus Christ daily, and try to live as He would have me live. I live my faith as I take care of my family. We believe that there is no more important work on earth than the work we do at home in our families. I try to teach my children to have high moral standards. I am careful about monitoring the media in our home. My husband and I pray, read scriptures, work and play with our children. I live my faith by serving in the Church. This summer I was one of many leaders at a summer camp for girls 12 to 18 years old. While camping in a beautiful outdoor setting, I could feel God's love for me and for those girls.
