Hi I'm Anna

I am a mother of one and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have just re-entered the work force as a merchandiser after being a stay-at-home mom. I spent the last thirteen years homeschooling my son, who has now moved into the next stage of his life. I have been married to my best friend for twenty years, and I love him more today than I did then. I enjoy working on genealogy, whether it is mine or helping someone else with theirs. I also enjoy history, reading, light exercise, and most of all spending time with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I was not raised as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I was raised in a loving Christian family. One day I requested an extra credit assignment for my history class in junior high. My teacher gave me an assignment to do a report, my topic was a single word "Deseret." I had never heard that word before and this was long before the internet was available. I searched for this topic for many weeks, even asking for help from several Librarians. To no avail, I could not find what this word meant or even what I was supposed to write about. My grandmother came home from work one day and gave me a piece of paper with a definition of the word Deseret written on it. From there I researched and wrote my report on Deseret and the Mormons. Never did I realize that that single assignment would make a difference in my life later. I met my future husband a few years later. When he mentioned he was a Mormon, I had some idea of what he was talking about. He introduced me to the Book of Mormon and challenged me to read it. I later took the discussions and joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. That turned out to be one of the best decisions I could make.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by holding true to what I believe in my heart. I strive to be a good example and to care for those around me. I attend church and assist others in need. I serve at our Family History Center and help others from my community with their family research.
