Hi I'm Celestial

I grew up in California. I've been a professional makeup artist for over 13 years. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Celestial. I've been married to my husband for 14 years. We have 2 boys ages 11 and 7 and a daughter who's 5. My husband and I both grew up in Southern California. He was a cute surfer boy when I met him. He still is cute and he's 41! I've been a professional makeup artist for many years. You can find my work in National magazines, TV and on fabulous brides. My 11 year old son plays basketball, my 7 year old son plays tennis and my daughter practices classical ballet. Our family loves the outdoors. Camping is a big part of our family. It's a way to be together and get rid of all the electronics and bond. I love to do active things like skydiving, snowboarding, camping and zip lining. Basically I'm up for any outdoor sport. I'm a bit more daring than my husband. He likes to stick with surfing and dirt bike riding. I played Volleyball in High School and in College. Volleyball was a great thing in my life. It kept me busy during my youth. It taught me how to work well with a team. I still love it. My life is happy. I have a beautiful family who loves me and I love them. We enjoy spending time together. My husband and I are partners in everything, from raising our children to making major decisions. Life is good. Life is peaceful. Life is full.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a Mormon family. Growing up, I went to church because my parents did and I liked the way it made me feel. I remember even as a little child singing in primary class and feeling warm and happy. When I reached the age of 15, I had a friend that was another religion. She asked me to come to church with her, so I did. After attending her church, it just made me realize how much I missed the peaceful feeling I got at my church. It just didn't feel right. At about the age of 16, I got down on my knees one night and asked Heavenly Father if this church was the only true church on the earth. I remember having an overwhelming feeling that I didn't even need to ask...that I already knew. Yes, I was a part of the only true church. I started reading my scriptures more and that helped my testimony grow too. Not only the Book of Mormon, but also the Bible. As I started living the Gospel more fully, the happier my life became. Being a teenager is hard. Knowing that I was a daughter of God, from such a young age, helped me to make better choices in my life. I kept clear of trouble, and as a result, my life has been blessed. I wasn't perfect, only the Savior was, but it did help me in times of happiness and times of trial. I know that Joesph Smith restored Christ's church to this earth. I know that Heavenly Father loves each one of us. I know that the Book of Mormon is another testament of Christ. That it is record of the people in the America's. I know that Christ died for me. He also died for you. He died so that we may conquer death, so that we can again join our Heavenly Father. Christ is our only way back. Through making good choices and by repenting when we've sinned. I love my Savior. He is my brother. He is my redeemer. He is my friend. I lean on him when my burdens seem heavy and he lightens them. My life is full of joy and peace, even when I'm going through trials. I know that Heavenly Father has a plan for me. He loves me and He loves you.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to follow Christs' example. I try to be honest in my dealings with everyone, everyday. I try to serve as He would. I attend church every week and partake of the Sacrament to remember Jesus Christ and my baptismal promises. I serve as a leader to the Young Women in our area ages 12-18. I love to serve with them. They teach me so much. They are so strong and so wonderful. My life is hugely blessed because I am with them often. I also serve other woman who live close to me. I visit them and make sure that they are spiritually and physically doing well. If they are having problems, I try to be a listening ear, and if needed, I try to help them in other ways.
