Hi I'm Kelsey.

I live in Colorado with my husband and our 5 children. Life is busy and chaotic, but we love the journey! And, I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am a stay at home mom raising 5 children. I moved around as a child, and have come to love trying new things and experiencing new cultures and places. I value my college eduction at Brigham Young University and the many opportunities for growth if afforded me, along with a thirst for knowledge that has lasted throughout my life. I enjoy reading, scrapbooking, crafting, photography, rock climbing, camping, physical fitness, and am always up for trying and learning new things! Life in our home is definitely busy and chaotic, but I love the path I have chosen and know that being home with my children is the right place for me to be.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised a Mormon, but throughout my life, have come to gain my own testimony of the LDS church. I have learned that through the various challenges and trials life has thrown my way, my faith and testimony have helped guide me through those difficult times. I love the standards of the church, and the clear understanding the gospel brings to my life and to the life of my children. Through my religion, I am able to raise my children with values and standards to help them overcome the challenges they face everyday. I know who I am, where I came from, and where I am going! My family is eternal, and the people I love so dearly will be with me always! That is what this church is about, that is what this life is about!

How I live my faith

You can not be a Mormon only on Sundays, you are a Mormon every day of the week, every hour of the day. It is who you are, not just what you believe. When you are a Mormon, you show it in the way you speak, in the way you dress, and in the way you act and treat others, it is most definitely the way you live. Because I have been a Mormon all my life I have been able to serve others in various ways. I have served with the youth of the church, with the children, and with the women of the church. I have taught lessons, organized activities, lead music, been part of leadership groups, and created various programs. Some "callings" or assignments within the church are only on Sundays, but most are not. During the week, I am often working with others, helping to run and organize various programs in our local church. Most of what we do is service to others, and helping those in need. We all need each other! Each time I have a new assignment, or calling, I am usually stretched beyond my comfort level, I am always learning and growing. Each time I fulfill what the Lord has asked me to do, I feel His love and guidance, and gain a stronger testimony of His gospel.
