Hi I'm Stephanie

I love to learn new things. I am a mother of 5 children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of 5 children and a grandmother of 13. I completed my education at BYU in elementary education after the birth of our 5 children. They watched me walk down the aisle to get my diploma. I enjoy teaching, walking, visiting with our children and grandchildren, and reading. I enjoy going to new places, to see new cultures and people. I love visiting with people. I am a pretty ordinary woman with a great love of life.

Why I am a Mormon

The world we live in is in such turmoil. There seems to be no right or wrong any more. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormons) has been a solid anchor in my life to help me stay on a path that brings happiness and peace in this world we live in. It teaches truth! These truths are eternal and unchangeable. I have been spared many of the difficulties of life that come as a result of poor choices because I have chosen to follow these truths. I have developed a love for Jesus Christ and his exemplary life. His teachings have guided me throughout my life. The price He paid for me is truly a miracle. I know He lives and that a living prophet is here on the earth to help us find our way through the many pitfalls of life. I love to listen to General Conference in April and October. I am buoyed up spiritually. I am grateful for the youth programs that help our youth learn truths that help them stay away from drugs, pornography, and all the other destructive elements in our society. What a blessing it is to be a member of the Mormon Church.

How I live my faith

I love to serve others - in our Church and community. My husband and I have made ourselves available to go to Santiago, Chile to serve the people in that country for a year. I have had many opportunities to serve others as a member of the Mormon Church. I have taught and worked with the Young Women, small children, and women's organizations of our Church. I have helped plan youth conferences for our youth, giving them an opportunity to serve others and learn to love Jesus Christ more deeply. I have been president of the women's organization of the Church. In this organization, we have served our community and world through service projects. We have made quilts for the Children's hospital, collected school supplies for children who needed them, made new born kits to help in other countries throughout the world, made teaching books for children in other parts of the world. We have served our own communities in food banks, making meals for those with significant needs, and helping in any way that we could. I have learned to love to serve others as a result of my service in the different organizations of the Church. I have been given an opportunity to understand what "Feed My Sheep", really means. As I follow Christ's admonition to "Feed My Sheep", I become a better person.
