Hi I'm Dwight

I'm a Mormon. I converted to the Morman faith at age 49

About Me

I am a husband, a father, a grandfather, a media professional, a Texan, and I am a Mormon. My wife and I love to travel, take long walks, watch movies, cook special meals and spoil our three grand daughters. My career in media has given me the opportunity to do what I love to do, to use the talents I have been blessed with and to serve others. My hobbies are home repair, scuba diving, hunting and spending "play" time with our grand daughters.

Why I am a Mormon

I met my wife, while we were attending college. She was a member of the church but not active. On our first date she told me she was a Mormon and that the set the bar for our dates. We were married two years later by her Bishop. I know the Lord sent her to me to help me find my way back to him. We have been married for 40 years. Through her example, her love, her patience, and her faith I was able to put aside the matters of the world and come unto our Savior Jesus Christ. I was very focused on my career and creating a life of material wealth and recognition. She blessed me with two fine sons who are examples to me everyday that I live. I began to attend church with my wife after our first son was born. I observed young fathers and mothers as they completed their education, raised their children, worked, served in the church, the community and taught my sons the gospel. I came to see all that the Lord had blessed my life with and to understand his atonement. My family is now forever.

How I live my faith

I serve others in my community and do my best to be an example of my faith in all that I do. I look for opportunities to engage people in order to learn about them...to connect and bring joy into our lives.
