Hi I'm Tyler

I love creating. I sing songs about mundane activities. I dream big. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy life and being an individual. I grew up in California so I lived in a family that loves to snowboard and surf. I play the piano a lot, it puts my mind at ease. Most of my pastimes are creative outlets; drawing, painting, photography, music. I love to read a good book on a rainy day, and I think the best places to have conversations are long car rides or under shady trees in the summer. I think laughing is a must in daily life. I like doing things that remind me of being a kid; impromptu races to the car, coloring in coloring books with no shame, feeding ducks, you name it. I tend to come up with outlandish ideas that I'm entirely serious about. It's just part of my nature. My family is the greatest. They keep me in line with who I want to be.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents raised me as a member of this Church and it has always been a light to guide my life, but I had often relied on the testimonies of other people. I needed to find out if what I was living was true. I had to come to know my Heavenly Father through prayer. I needed there to be a two-way relationship if I was to progress forward. Prayer means everything to me because I know they are answered. If I believe that my answer will come, then it does. It's as simple as that. Too many of my questions have been answered directly through other individuals for it to be a coincidence. I know that this church is the same church that existed when Christ was on the earth and that God loves His children just as much now as He did then.

How I live my faith

I know that Heavenly Father has given us our gifts so that we can bless the lives of other people. I strongly believe in using my creativity to inspire others. In church responsibilities, especially in teaching others, it helps to be able to explain things in a creative way so that people understand more fully. I believe that the more we focus on acquiring knowledge and developing our gifts, the more people will realize that I am striving to live "in the world but not of it." I know I have my talents for a reason and that I can help others want to do good.
