Hi I'm Nathaniel

I love Jesus Christ and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is nathaniel and I love being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I was born in Las Vegas and when i was 7 my parents divorced and i moved to utah when i was about 8 years old. By the time i was 9 i moved again to Michigan, where i spent from the ages of 9-18 growing up and then going to Las Vegas in the summers every year. I love my entire family and those that i grew up. I currently have 4 brothers and sisters going from my brother who is 26 all the way down to my little sister who is only a few months old. I am currently a missionary serving in the Texas San Antonio Mission and its the best! I love every minute of it.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the church because of my strong testimony of Jesus Christ and His gospel. I know that the church is true because I have recieved witness of it through the holy ghost. Growing up I had no real interest in church or going to church, not just this church but any in particular. I always believed in God and Jesus Christ but i believed that i didnt need to go to church to show my faith in them. Throughout my life there has been trials starting at a young age of the divorce of my parents, all the way down till now. Through out the 4 years that i was in high school i lost over 4 of some of my closest friends due to car accidents and drug abuse. Two others of my friends were involved in a shooting in the which one was shot in the leg and hit a main artery and the other was shot through the stomach and the bullet hit his spine. While my mom was a strong and faithful member of the church i was heading in the opposite direction and i could see my world falling apart before my eyes. I was losing my friends it seemed so constantly that i became very overwhelmed with the concept of the next life. I had a fimiliar backround with the church and the book of mormon and i decided that i needed to find out for myself if it was true. When i was 18 i moved out and headed to california where i roofed houses and was living with my best friend. He and his family were and are very strong members of the church and i decided i would go to church on sunday and to start reading the book of mormon. Ever since then i have faithfully gone to church every sunday for the past 2 years and read the book of mormon everyday. I not only understand the concept of the next life, but i know what i must do in the life to obtain happiness and salvation in the life after death. I haven't looked back since.

How I live my faith

Upon coming to church and realizing how the gospel truely brings the utmost of joy in my life i decided to share my expierence with others by sharing the gospel as much as i could. I decided i would serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints for 2 years. I was then called to serve in the Texas San Antonio Mission. I was also called to speak spanish, a language i knew nothing about. I am now somewhat fluent in spanish and have been serving my mission now for over 6 months. I help not only those who are looking for the truth in their life but i also serve on an airforce base where i help our members of the military learn more about Jesus Christ.

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

A testimony is a spiritual witness given to an individual by the Holy Ghost. The foundation of a Mormon’s testimony is the knowledge that Heavenly Father lives and loves us; that Jesus Christ lives, that He is the Son of God, and that He carried out the infinite Atonement; that Joseph Smith is a prophet, which God called to restore Jesus Christ’s church to the earth; that we are led today by a living prophet; and that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the Savior’s Church restored on the earth today.
