Hi I'm Janet

I grew up in Arizona. I am married and have 6 children and 18 grandchildren.

About Me

I am a wife, mother and grandmother. I love my family and love being around them. I like to read books, quilt, make baby blankets and like doing things on the computer. I have learned over the last few years how much I like to travel. We have been to Hawaii, Mexico, Israel and on a Carribean cruise. I like having a garden, some years are better than others.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints by kind loving parents. I grew up learning Bible stories and reading the Book of Mormon. I loved learning and singing hymns. As I grew up I have been able to grow from leaning on my parents testimony of the gospel to having one of my own. As I read the scriptures I feel the Spirit confirm the truth of what I am reading. I love knowing God has placed prophets and apostles on the earth to continue guiding us as he has in the past. The atonement of Jesus Christ in my behalf and in behalf of every person gives me hope each day I live.

How I live my faith

I feel like I live my faith by loving my family and having a desire to be with them forever. I like going to my grandchildren's ball games, babysitting them and having them come to grandma's house. I work with the youth in our church (girls from 12-18) every week. These young women give me hope for the future! They do a lot of service some include: giving basic need items to the House of Refuge (toliet paper, paper towel, diapers, wipes toothpaste, tooth brushes, etc), singing at an adult assisted living complex, babysitting, cleaning, and taking meals. They also have the opportunity to learn skills such as cooking, organizing, cleaning, fixing things, and how to dress modestly. We have religious classes every Sunday where I have an opporunity to teach. I love it!   I read the scriptures and pray every day that the Lord will guide my footsteps in helping others in need.
