Hi I'm Kathy

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in Utah. I have been a member since I was 8 years old.

About Me

I have always had a testimony of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I have had many experiences in my life that have strengthened my testimony of my Savior, Jesus Christ. I am a mother of eight children, and a grandmother of eighteen grandchildren. It is the most rewarding experience to see your children grow up and have experiences of their own that strengthen their testimonies. I love to teach and organize. I do a lot of family history extraction work and love it. I love to travel and see other cultures and meet other people. I am a hands on learner and traveling helps me to learn and relate to other people and their lives.

Why I am a Mormon

I have many generations of members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in my genealogy, starting with the Mormon pioneers. I have been a member of the Church my whole life. I love the Temple and the fact that my family can be an eternal family as long as we keep the covenants we make with our Heavenly Father. I know that we are all human and make mistakes, almost daily. I am thankful for the knowledge that I have, that we can be forgiven for our transgressions if we truly repent. I am thankful for the guidance that my Heavenly Father has given my Husband and me when we were raising, and are still raising, our children. I know that through the Atonement of Jesus Christ we can someday return to His presence.

How I live my faith

I have had many opportunities to serve in the Church. I love visiting other women and learning of their experiences. I love the youth and love to teach them. In our women's organization, we have many opportunities to serve one another. I have had opportunities to serve in the community in serving at our local senior citizen center. I loved teaching early morning seminary for the high school youth of the Church. I have learned so much from them and their strength in living their standards. Another opportunity I have had was serving all the women in the Church, and being able to visit with each one of them, and learning of their families and their experiences. I love attending our Sunday meetings, and sharing spiritual experiences with others. I love meeting together and organizing activities that we can share together. I have, for the past 8 or 9 years, been able to serve the young women 12-18 by being a cook for girls camp each summer. I love associating with these girls and feeling of their strength and enthusiasm for life.
