Hi I'm Karen

I love life! I am lucky to be a mother and a grandmother. I also am a piano teacher to 20 students. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to spend time with my family. I started a new hobby this year that I have always hated: running. I still kinda hate it, but it helps me stay in shape! I don't watch a lot of TV, but I admit that I do like "So You Think you can Dance" and "American Idol." I just appreciate musical talent of any kind. I hope to write a book someday!

Why I am a Mormon

I can not imagine going through life without a solid base to stand on. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints provides me with that base. I am so grateful to be a member fo this church as a have raised my children. They know who they are, want to do their best, and have a purpose in this life. I know that I have a Heavenly Father who knows and loves each one of us. He wants us to be happy. He is our biggest fan! He provided an example and a Savior for us so that we can learn and someday return to Him again. If you ever want to get a sense of what I feel, listen to the beautiful, inspiring music of a hymn or Primary song on lds.org, and then see how it makes you feel.

How I live my faith

I am blessed to be able to volunteer much of my time in helping the many children in our area! I am a leader who helps train and encourage other leaders, and together we are over about 1200 children between the ages of 18 months-11 years old! Some of these leaders get to teach the children in church on Sundays, others are their Cub Scout leaders and Young Girl Activity Leaders. I know that it is so important for these children to learn who they are and the way to be happy in this life. They are teachable, full of faith, and loving, and I love associating with them!
