Hi I'm Bob

I'm a husband, father and a Mormon.

About Me

I am a convert in the church being baptized December 24,2000. I am a native of Colorado. Early in life I was around livestock and horses, in my teenage years I got involved in rodeo where I rode bulls and was a bullfighter for about 5 years. I joined the Navy in 1968 and after boot camp was sent to the Mekong Delta in Viet Nam. Two days after coming home I met the love of my life, we were married 7months later in a civil cermony. We have two adult chrildren. My wife and I like to bike and hike and do things together. I also like to do blacksmith work as a hobby.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised without any religious affiliation, after we were married sometimes my wife would mention that we should find a church. The mormon missionaries would stop by and visit, I would listen but was not interested until one day these Sister Missionaries stopped by and spoke of eternal families. When you are 21 till death do you part seems a long way off, when you're 51, time and all eternity seems alot better. We joined the Church in Dec. 2000 and was sealed in the Denver Temple in 2002. I know there is a Profit of God on the earth today, who leads and guides us in these troubled times.

How I live my faith

In my ward I am responsible for family history and Temple work. I enjoy helping anyone learn more about their own families. It is a great way to learn about others and how their ancestors have shaped their lives and the lives of others. I try to treat others the way Christ would treat them and be an example to others in my words and actions.

Why are only some Mormons allowed into temples? Is there something secret going on in Mormon Temples? What goes on in Mormon Temples?

Bob
Anyone may visit the Temple grounds at over 130 locations throughout the world and attend open houses before they are dedicated. After they are dedicated only baptized, qualified members are allowed to enter. there is nothing secret, but everything that goes on in the Temple is sacred. Show more Show less
