Hi I'm Aaron

I have been blessed beyond measure in this journey of life. One of the blessings I speak of is a knowledge that Jesus is my Savior

About Me

I am Aaron..... I love helping other's & making others' days a little happier & brighter. I love to travel & meet new people, experience new cultures or ideas, & I love gaining experience that develops my character in a manner that would help me be of better service to my fellow beings... both collectively as well as to each individual that I come into contact with. I am no saint, far from it actually! I struggle every day (& have since adolescence) with many addictions to sex & drugs, pornography.. you name it. When I was around 14 or 15, I realized I was gay & thought that because of this, there was no way Jesus or God could love me....OH HOW WRONG I WAS! I left home early (at around 15) & fell into paths that have brought undue struggles & adverse effects to my health as well as spiritual struggles (even though they have brought experiences in my life & lessons that I might otherwise have never learned)... I still am hoping to overcome my addictions someday & I know that I have not made it this far in life on my own, nor will I have to overcome this trial without divine assistance from a loving Heavenly Father... I know this hope comes through Jesus Christ & that He is there for me & for you, to help us along the way in this journey of life! I know that the Book of Mormon is true & that the kingdom of God exists again on earth as spoken of in the book of Daniel as the stone cut out of the mountain without hands that will fill the earth & this is found in this Church.

Why I am a Mormon

Jesus said that "Ye shall know them by their fruits." (Matthew 7:16) and He also said "If any man will do His will, he will know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself." (John 7:17). I know the doctrine IS of God because it invites ALL men to come & partake of every good thing & to touch not the unclean thing nor do evil. ANYTHING THAT PERSUADES US TO DO GOOD & SERVE OUR FELLOW BEINGS & BELIEVE IN JESUS CHRIST IS WITHOUT A DOUBT FROM GOD!!

How I live my faith

I find that I am closest to God when my thoughts are centered on His will & His goodness & all of the blessings that He has given to us all from the time that I rise up out of bed.... When I start the day off on my knees in prayer, praising Him for every good thing & asking for His spirit to guide me throughout my day & to grant me love & charity for my fellow beings on this earth, whomever & wherever they may be, & study some of the scriptures (looking to it as a compass which will point me in the right direction & help to learn more of what His will is for me & for mankind). Then do I feel an increase of love for others & a greater desire to try a little harder to do a little better. I once saw a quote on a billboard that read "RELIGION ISN'T WHAT YOU DO ON SUNDAY AS MUCH AS IT IS HOW ONE LIVES THE REMAINDER OF THE WEEK!" I like that quote a lot; however I find that when I do keep the Sabbath day holy & do not seek after my will on His holy day, Then do I feel an increase of desire throughout the rest of the week to live in accordance with the teachings of Jesus & all the Holy prophets. But when I serve others is the number one way that I feel closest to God! I am no shining example, as I struggle day to day with addiction; but I have found that even at my worst, there are things that I can do EVERY SINGLE DAY to help someone else.. whether it is picking up litter, or visiting friends & strangers that are lonesome, sad, or depressed & making them feel important & valuable!
