Hi I'm Sherry

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi! I am the mother of five children and they are the joy of my life. I am a former Gatorette Captain at the University of Florida where I met my husband. I used to teach kindergarten before I had kids. Over the years, I have enjoyed volunteering in the classroom, serving as a Campaign Manager for a State Representative, going on field trips with my children, four wheeling in the mountains of Utah, making quilts for special occasions, and researching my family history. I love teaching young people about the Gospel of Jesus Christ!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I want to return to live with my Heavenly Father, and His son, Jesus Christ. This Church gives me all the answers to the tough questions, like: Where did I come from? Why am I here? and Where am I going? The Plan of Salvation teaches us about the eternal plan that Heavenly Father has for each one of us. It includes the need for a Savior to redeem us from the Fall of Adam. I am so grateful for the truth that has been restored to the earth in these latter days before the Second Coming of Our Savior, Jesus Christ. I believe that it is only through the Savior's atonement, mercy, and justice that we can return to live with our Father in Heaven someday. I am a Mormon, because I know that we can repent of our sins and that throught the sacred ordinance of baptism by immersion, we can enter the path that leads to eternal life. I have found peace, happiness and joy in living the gospel of Jesus Christ. I am indeed a Christian and I love Jesus Christ!

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith daily by reading the scriptures and praying to my Father in Heaven. I teach the gospel to the youth in our church. I love to help them feel the Spirit and to identify how the Spirit can guide them and help them in their lives. I love to attend our church meetings on Sunday and to worship and renew sacred baptismal covenants each week. It is a way of life that requires a full time commitment, and the rewards are beyond my ability to express. I am grateful we live in a country where we can express our faith openly and share it with others. I have many opportunities to serve those in my congregation and those in the community. I try to be an example of how the Savior lived His life.
