Hi I'm Raphael

I grew up in Southern California. I'm a tennis player. A vocalist. I served a mission in Richmond, Virginia and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love being outside and enjoying life! I'm a college student in Southern California. You'll see me around town playing tennis with my friends or singing punk music for my band. I'm very proud of my Brazilian heritage and learning new languages. I have a goal to a publish a new york times best selling book, play in wimbledon, and spend a summer adventure in India.

Why I am a Mormon

I have found more happiness, lasting joy and answers to every question as I have continued to study this gospel. I feel that my family and I have a purpose in this life that we are all striving to complete together. Growing up I've been to many churches but in this one it gave me a desire to be better. I wasn't always diligent to what I was taught. The experience has brought me understanding over time (John 7:17). I can see the fruits or blessings as I obey the commandments. I know through continued personal revelation that the book of mormon is the word of God.

How I live my faith

I get to work with a variety of people in the community. Majority are people who aren't members of our faith. Whether it be something as simple as mowing the lawn of a single mother or fixing a computer to big projects for local park services.

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

You can know if there is a God by experience! If you don't know? Do something about it and pray! If you ask if he is there in prayer you will feel it in your heart and in your mind. Look around you and see all the amazing things within nature. Planets and stars beyond number. Thousands of different plants and animals. It all works together so perfectly, something that wasn't by chance! Show more Show less
