Hi I'm Joe

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a very happily married (19 years and counting) father of 4 boys. I work as a computer programmer. I don't have a degree, so I'm also attending school to earn a degree in Electrical Engineering. (I'm finally a senior, but it takes forever when you're part-time.) I love to read, play soccer (mostly indoor), and snowboard.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the Mormon (LDS) church by a single mother, with help from wonderful grandparents. Like most teenagers, I went through a phase where I tried doing things "my way", instead of how my mother wanted me to. but even at 17 years old, I could feel the absence of the Spirit in my life. So I decided to do as John wrote in John 7:17 and live the Gospel so I could know if it was true. I never saw angels or heard a voice, but as I lived the Gospel, its undeniable truthfulness settled deep into my soul. It brings peace to my life, strengthens my marriage, and has helped us raise four wonderful children.

How I live my faith

I work with the teenage boys at church, helping them prepare to be good men. I also volunteer as a Scoutmaster for two different Boy Scout troops.
