Hi I'm Dave

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm married with four kids. I like sports and being outdoors. A few years ago, I left a demanding job at a big corporation, so that I could move to Colorado and start my own business. It is stressful at times, but I love the flexibility and the opportunity to spend time with my family. I enjoy spending time with my family playing, laughing and enjoying life together.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church, and have found much happiness in my life as I follow the commandments of Heavenly Father. I don't have all the answers, but I know enough to hope it is true. I can recognize throughout my life, all the good that has come to me as I live the gospel of Jesus Christ. Maybe at times, I do things out of a sense of duty, but I know that I like where I am in life and all the happiness that this Mormon lifestyle has brought me. There have been several moments, where I have felt a powerful witness from the Spirit that this is God's church on earth.

How I live my faith

I appreciate the variety of opportunities we have to serve in church callings. Currently, I lead a group of young and middle-aged men. Previously, I taught high school freshmen about church history in an early morning seminary class, and before that I taught and watched over toddlers and preschoolers while their parents attended their Sunday classes. While church callings are an important part of living our faith, I think the personal practices make the most difference. I say daily prayers. I read my scriptures every day in the morning, and with my family before bed. I'm trying to be more kind, less judgmental, and live a Christlike life.
