Hi I'm Riley

I come from a small town in Idaho. I am musically inclined. I try to make people laugh. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I play tennis, video games, baritone/trombone, and enjoy roller coasters. I am on my mission in North Carolina, and I enjoy serving the Lord here. I will try out most things at least once.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a member, but that doesn't mean a whole lot. As members, we are encouraged to find our own testimony and to live off of that light that God has given us. I have chosen to follow in the gospel, not only because I have found my own testimony, but also because I have seen an immense change in my life and in others' lives as they have embraced the gospel. There are a lot of scary things in the world, and if you live the gospel to the fullest, 99% of them aren't a problem anymore.

How I live my faith

I am serving a mission right now, teaching the wonderful people of North Carolina about the gospel. I enjoy helping wherever I can, and I do my best to be what the Lord needs of me.

How are modesty and chastity related? How can parents teach their children to be modest in dress, language and behavior?

Riley
Modesty and Chastity both go back to the law Jesus taught: "Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery: But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart." If we dress modestly, men and women, we prevent others from "looking on [us] to lust after [us]." When we dress modestly, we are respecting the gift of God to us, a "temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you." And parents teach children best by example, so if Mom and Dad are modest and chaste, then the children will follow that example. Show more Show less
