Hi I'm Kailee

I love Celtic music. I enjoy learning. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My husband and I are expecting our first child soon and we're very excited. I graduated from college with my Bachelor's degree in May 2010. My husband is currently attending college and will graduate in a few years with his Bachelor's degree as well. I really enjoy learning, and sometimes I miss being in school. I have been trying to learn more about being more self reliant by learning how to sew better and garden and such. I really enjoy reading and taking walks. My husband and I have a dog who we love to death, and I like taking him on walks with me. I love that when you go on a walk you can just think about anything, or if my husband and I go together then we can just talk. My husband is my best friend, and I enjoy the conversations that we have together. I also love spending time with my husband, but especially when we take the time to just be together without any distractions.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the church. Growing up I went to church because my parents said I had to, but as I got into my teens I started to gain my own testimony of the church. As I have continued to study the scriptures and the gospel's principles, I have gained a testimony of my Savior and my Heavenly Father. There are so many principles of the gospel that have blessed my life. One of the biggest is the Plan of Salvation. I have a strong testimony of it, and I know that God has a plan for each of us. The Plan is one of the reasons I want to continue on the right path, because I want to be with my family again after I die. I also have a testimony of the temple and the blessings that come from living our lives so that we can attend, and from going often. I know that families are sealed together through the temple ordinances. I have a testimony of prayer. I know that Heavenly Father listens and answers our prayers. I have seen His hand in my life and I know that He will always be with us if we're righteous. I have felt the Spirit in my life, and I know that the Spirit will guide us and help us as long as we're worthy of his company.

How I live my faith

I try to remember Christ in my daily life, and try to be more like him. I visit a few women in my ward every month, and I try to make sure that when things happen in their lives that I am aware of them and am there to help or congratulate. I attend my meetings, and when the ward has activities or service projects I try to attend as my schedule will allow. I try to be aware of those in my neighborhood so that if they need help with anything I can help them. I try to read my scriptures and pray every day, and I try to gain more insight about the gospel so that as my children grow I will be able to teach them the gospel. I read the church magazine, the Ensign, when it comes every month, and I try to apply what I've read to my life. I enjoy reading the General Conference editions of the Ensign to remind myself of what our leaders have taught us and look for ways that I can improve. I think that's the biggest way I live my faith; I try to find something that I can improve to make myself more like Christ and more in line with His gospel every day.
