Hi I'm Travis Smith

I am a father, a husband and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I converted to the Church when I was 17. I then served a Mission in Southern California when I was 19. When I returned home from California I attended Brigham Young University – Idaho. There I received my Bachelors Degree in Business Management and Supply Chain Management. While I was at college I met my wife and we had our first child. I now live in Colorado and have three wonderful children. I enjoy spending time with my family and fixing and building just about anything. I also enjoy outdoor activities like boating, four wheeling and snowmobiling.

Why I am a Mormon

As I mentioned, when I was 17 I converted to the Church. I became acquainted with an LDS family and was very impressed by their family and asked if I could speak to the missionaries. As the missionaries taught me about the Restoration of the Lords Church, Joseph Smith and the Book of Mormon; I prayed to know if what they were teaching me was true. I will never forget the powerful feeling of warmth and comfort which came to me in answer to my prayer. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints teaches me everything about how to have a successful marriage and family. It also teaches me how I can be the best person I can be so, one day my family and I can return to our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ’s presence.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending Church with my Family every week and I try to be a good example everywhere I go. I also have a responsibility in the Church to help people and families, who have fallen on troublesome times, to become employed again.
