Hi I'm Denise

I'm a Mormon. I have been a Mormon my whole life. I am a wife, (wonderful man, 34 years) mother of 4 and grandmother of 11.

About Me

I am a wife, mother and grandmother. I have 3 sons and 1 daughter. My children are all married and have blessed our lives with 3 great daughter in laws, and 1 son in law. We have 10 grandchildren, 5 boys and 5 girls. They are all the best, but of course what grandmother wouldn't say that. In my case it is true. I work as an administrative assistant to my husband, along with 2 of our sons. I enjoy sports, expecially football and baseball, crafts, needle work and painting, and just being a grandma. I love learning and like to study the scriptures and share ideas and have discussions about what is going on in the world.

Why I am a Mormon

My father recently passed away and as difficult as it was and still is, I feel sadness for those do who do not have the knowledge of the gospel of Jesus Christ to help them understand that we can see our loved ones again. The knowledge that we can live together as families after we leave this mortal existance sustains me through this time of loss. It is this kind of comfort that I want to help others to understand. We went on a family vacation to Jamiaca and climbed Dunns River Falls. There were over 50 family members climbing and everyone had to hold hands to help those below climb. My mother and father were at the top and as my father looked back down at us, he said that it was wonderful to see his posterity following behind, helping one another on this journey that we call life; holding each others hands, leading and lifting until we made it to the top. That is what this life is about. Leading and lifting one another so that we can make it back to that Father in Heaven who gave us life. Our church helps us to live outside of ourselves and to help and serve others. The Savior, Jesus Christ, served others His whole life and set the example for us to follow. He gave the ultimate gift. He gave His life for us. Service gives us much happiness and comfort as we all strive to live and return to our home in heaven.

How I live my faith

My husband and I own our own business and our goal is always to treat people with respect and integrity and we hold our employees to that same standard. We try to have a smile and good word wherever we go and whomever we meet. In our church my husband and I are serving together. We are teaching children, ages 3 to 12 and this is such a blessing in helping us relate to our grandchildren and giving these children a good foundation to face the world and suceed in life. We desire to have our children and grandchildren with us in the life after this one and the only way that is possible is for us to live lives worthy of that. We also run an addiction support group. We help those who face addition get their lives back. These things keep us busy, but are so satisfying. We feel we are helping our children and others attain their highest potential in life. Our lives are blessed with family, church and each other. The church has helped us to achieve this and we wouldn't want it any other way.
