Hi I'm Elder Febbo

I'm currently a missionary serving in the Philippines. I'm 25 years old, I love balut and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Elder Febbo I'm 25, I'm originally from Houston Texas and I'm currently serving and living in the Philippines as a missionary. I speak 2 languages, English and Tagalog. I have 4 brothers and I'm the first of the five of us to serve a mission. I have a special love for music and don't think i could live without it. I enjoy skateboarding and basketball and just being with friends.

Why I am a Mormon

To be honest i was born Mormon. But the time came where i doubted the teachings of the church and fell away . After many years of sorrow and struggling the time came where i had to know for myself if this was the true church. I remember thinking to myself many times "is Joseph Smith a true prophet? Is this really true?" Because of the trials that had come into my families life i began to question my beliefs. I began to wonder if god really loved me and said to myself many times "were not bad people why are bad things happening to us, most of all why are all the bad things happening to me?" because of my lack of faith and my clouded vision i became inactive for 7 years! But i cant forget the time i knelled and asked god in sincere prayer if it was all true. The answer came so clearly it was undeniable. Finally i knew for myself that this is the one and only true church of Jesus Christ. That experience is what gave me the strength to repent and go back to church. From that time until now i have never experienced a greater happiness or in other words a truer happiness. Of coarse not every day is the happiest day in the world but as i strive to follow the savior and his teachings i am made strong enough to overcome the trials and struggles in my life. The happiness that i experience is not one that can be achieved from obtaining things of the world but is one that comes solely from obedience to the commandments and living of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I Know now more than ever that my heavenly father loves and cares for me. These are the things which have testified to me that all of this is true and that's why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

How do i live my faith? Well living the faith is all in the ACTION. What i mean is its a constant consistent effort. I find that our day and age is full of temptations and many other things that divert our attention from the things that should really be important to us. A constant consistent and faithful effort is required in order to be able to deal with the everyday trials and struggles that this life gives us. Constant means we we push forward everyday every hour and every minute. Consistent means we always give our best no matter how hard it is. Faithful means we put our trust in the lord in every aspect of our life. This is how i live my faith. Everyday i push forward giving my best while still having faith in Heavenly Father. Of coarse times come when we struggle. We cant avoid this, but if we will turn to our heavenly Father and rely solely upon him. He will lift us, strengthen us, and give us the courage to face and overcome these problems which have beset us. Turning unto god requires a daily effort due to the fact that we are always on the attack by the adversary, but its comforting to know that we have weapons! We are not unequipped! These simple but yet effective weapons include going to church , studying the scriptures, following the commandments, and daily and nightly prayer. Through these simple 4 things we can find the true happiness and joy we have been waiting for for our entire lives. I know these things are true because i have tried and tested them myself. This is the constant consistent effort that i was talking about earlier and this is how i live my faith. One day at a time, one victory over another, step by step, day by day.
