Hi I'm Theron

I grew up in Mattawa Washington. I'm a C# developer. I like to go on bicycle rides, and play video games for fun. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband and father of 4 children. I like bicycling, and video games specifically World of Warcraft, League of Legends, StarCraft and other types of real time strategy games. I love reading and listen to books on my mp3 player every day as I bike 13 miles to work most days. I am a C# developer and work mostly on ecommerce web site design.

Why I am a Mormon

My family is Mormon and I was raised in the church. However, like everyone does, when I became a teenager I wanted to know if what I had been taught in the church was true. I studied it out in my mind, read the Bible, Book of Mormon, and everything I could get my hands on concerning different religions. As I read, and learned of other religions I found that the doctrines and philosophy I had already been taught were more precise, and had less paradoxes in them than what I was reading concerning other religions. While I read the Book of Mormon and Bible, and prayed concerning their truthfulness and Joseph Smith and his testimony I felt of the truthfulness of their message and testimony. Namely, that Jesus is the Christ, the son of a living God and that he as our brother atoned for our sins. I served a mission in Japan which also strengthened my testimony of the truthfulness of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I am the type that questions everything I do research concerning anything that I find interesting and seems to be paradoxical in doctrine, or belief. Although I don’t know the answer to all my questions, I do know this. That Jesus is the Christ, and that it is through him and his atonement, that all mankind may be saved by obedience to his laws, ordinances, and commandments.

How I live my faith

I am a seminary teacher and get up every morning at around 5:00am to teach a seminary class. This is a group of students going to high school who are about 15 years old. It is truly a blessing to be able to teach the gospel to them, and testify to them of Jesus Christ and his atonement. It has been very helpful to have done research concerning difficult doctrines and beliefs because their questions are often very insightful and concerning what I have already studied. The best thing about Seminary is the opportunity we have to feel of the Holy Ghost every day as we study the scriptures together.
