Hi I'm Sarah

I grew up in Texas. I am a mother of 3. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married for 12 years. We have 3 boys and are expecting a little girl in December. I love to read, shop, bike, play volleyball and spend time with my family. I am learning to play the piano as an adult and enjoy that new hobby as well. I have my Associate Degree and plan on finishing my Bachelors with a degree in Psycology, and eventually would like to earn my Masters in either Counseling or in Education.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the knowledge it gives me about who I am, where I came from, why I am here and where I am going. I also have a very clear picture of who my Father in Heaven is, and the role that my elder brother Jesus Christ has as my Savior. These key elements in my life are major components that contribute to my faith. It is why many have asked "Why are you so happy?", despite pitfalls and challenges in my own life. Intersting enough, as I look back on my life, it is through these pitfalls and challenges that I have come to know that we do have a Father in Heavan and that we do have a Savior that are standing there anxiously waiting for us to let them in to strengthen us, to teach us, to lift us, and go guide us through often thorny road in life. As I have turned to Him in times of need, I have felt His peace. His peace "surpasseth all understanding". It is something I can't invent, or try to come up with on my own. As hard and as difficult some of my own personal struggles are, I am grateful for them. This is because in a world that is almost synical about everything, where many things are rationalized away, this peace I am refurring to is undiniably not from this world. "Peace I leave with you, not as the world givith I unto to. Let your heart not be troubled, neither let it be afraid." Luke I feel this same peace not only in the trials in my life, but also as I read the scriptures, and hear Modern day prophets speak and testify of Him. As I have come to trust in that peaceful feeling, I have been taught, comforted and led along my way. I know we have a Father in Heavan who loves us. I know that he anxiously awaits to help us and guide us. I know He wants us to find him. If we search, study and sincerly ask wanting to know with all our hearts something wonderful happends. We discover the light and knowledge, the peace and understanding our souls have inhertitly been seeking for.

How I live my faith

I try to study the scriptures and then go and live what I feel to be true. I live my faith by tring to imulate how I feel the Savior lived. The scriptures are filled with how His whole life was about serving others. I have an oppurtunity to serve all the members of my family. (Yes...I count laundry as service! ) There are countless other ways I feel I serve in my home as a wife, and mother to my kids. I also have the oppurtunity to work with all the children in our church and help to organize classes for Sunday. I enjoy helping with my son's Boyscout troop, and try to activily serve and support our local school.
