Hi I'm MC

I love to travel and meet people from all over the world, I'm a wife, mother of four fantastic kids and I'm a mormon.

About Me

I love people. The days I enjoy the most is when I get a chance to spend time with my friends, neighbors, co-workers and events where I can meet new people. I especially love the time I spend talking with my four teenagers (never a dull moment) and my husband. With a degree in psychology I've worked in various positions all over the country but right now I'm volunteering in our middle school enjoying the exciting events that come with working with young teenagers. In my spare time I enjoy hiking the local trails and I wouldn't miss running in the Bolder Boulder (5 years and counting).

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a mormon because it makes sense to me. When I was young I was longing for something missing in my life. I found comfort attending the LDS church near my house on Sundays. Even though I went alone most of the time I never felt alone and I tried to go as much as I could. Later I decided to serve a mission and studied and learned more about the gospel of Christ and I realized that's why I felt so good when I went to church. By following Christ's example it has brought me a peace of comfort that has sustained me throughout my life.

How I live my faith

Right now, I volunteer in the church with - you guessed it - the youth! I work most closely with young women who are between the ages of 12 and 18, and I love it! I see how the gospel of Christ is such a strength for them. Just knowing they are daughters of God is an anchor for them when faced with the tough challenges that inevitably come with being a teenager. I also appreciate the gospel's emphasis on serving others and watch the girls get outside of themselves to reach out and make a difference in the community around them.
