Hi I'm Scott

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a father of 4 young children. I work for a corporate company. On the side I am a professional balloon artist and film weddings. Before work each morning I volunteer teach a Seminary class to High School students to help draw them closer to Christ through study of the scriptures. My hobbies include hiking, running, fishing, and spending time with my wife and children. I have traveled throughout the world for work and recreation. I speak fluent Mandarin Chinese and Spanish. I love different cultures.

Why I am a Mormon

My membership as a Mormon is the guiding compass in my life. The teachings of Christ direct my everyday life as a father, employee, citizen, and friend. I have found that when I stray from following the gospel of Christ, I fail. I must re-navigate myself back on the path of Christ. Being a Mormon helps me in every way. I find most happiness when I choose to obey the gospel. Through being a Mormon I have come close to my elder brother Jesus Christ and my Father in Heaven. I know they live and I will be able to live with them again as I follow the plan of happiness that they have provided to me as their child. His Church, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints provides the fullness of the divine truths of this great plan. This is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by leading my family in daily prayer and scripture study. I live my faith by striving to be an example to my children and teach them the gospel of Christ. I live my faith by sacrificing sleep and time each morning to voluntarily teach 25 High School students Seminary before they go to school each morning. I live my faith by offering 10% of my income as tithing to the Church to build God's kingdom here on the earth. I live my faith by regular paying additional offerings to help the poor and needy.
