Hi I'm Len

I'm a Veteran, I work in the semiconductor manufacturing industry, I'm married, we have 7 children and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I grew up in the state of Maine. My parents and family were members of another faith. The missionaries came to our home and taught us more about the gospel of Jesus Christ. They didn't take away from the truths we already had, but they added so much more to them. It was difficult to leave our former church, but it was the right thing to do. I am so glad we did. I spent 3 years on active duty in the US Army as a medic at the end of the Vietnam war. After my military service, I served as a full time missionary for the LDS Church. I was assigned to serve as a Spanish speaking missionary to teach the Gospel among Spanish speaking migrant workers living in that states. Later, I earned a BS in Electronics Engineering. I have spent my adult career working in the semiconductor manufacturing industry. My wife and I have been married for 30 years and are the proud parents of 7 children and 2 grandchildren.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because I have felt the Holy Spirit confirm to me that this is the true church of Jesus Christ. I can remember the day that I felt the Spirit so strongly confirm to me this truth. I was receiving a lesson from the missionaries. As they taught me and a friend about the appearance of God the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ to Joseph Smith in order to restore His church, the Holy Ghost blessed me with a witness that what they were teach is true. I have read the Book of Mormon and asked God if it is true. With an honest heart, I can say that I know it is true. My membership in this church means the world to me. I have so much hope in the truths that I have learned as a member of this church.

How I live my faith

I teach the adult Sunday School class. We just completed our year long study of the New Testament. This year we are studying the Book of Mormon. I really enjoy teaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I have also participated on a variety of church commitees and councils, I was the Boy Scout leader for a period of time. What I like to do the most is help others through the gifts I have been blessed with. I have been blessed with a gift to be able to fix just about anything. I am ofted called to go help someone who needs something fixed who otherwise might not be able to get it fixed. It is a great blessing to be able to help others in need.
