Hi I'm Tahlia

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love my family! I am happily married to a wonderful man and mother to two beautiful children, my daughter (19mths) & son (4months). Becoming a mother has been the most incredible experience of my life & I can not wait for baby number 3 :) My husband is from Texas so we often make trips back to visit his family there. I have done a bit of travel and my favourite place I have visited would be Italy, I would love to visit there with my husband. I love being with my husband and family & spending time with my best girl friends. I enjoy cooking, blogging, decorating, dancing, dating my husband & playing with my children. I'm very enthusiastic about fitness & health. I love the outdoors, hiking, camping & the beach. I casually work from home for a financial business but am most enjoying the time I get to spend each day being a homemaker, practicing my cooking skills and spending time with my precious babies. In the future I think I'd like to study nutrition and/or dietetics. I am interested in how our bodies work and love watching the Human Body tv series. I would also like to become a yoga or pilates instructor. I hope to be able to travel with my family to Europe someday.

Why I am a Mormon

I have had a wonderful life thus far and many memorable experiences. I have a great family who I know love me and they bless my life daily. I am grateful for good parents who taught me correct principles while I was young. I love going to church and attribute much of my happiness to being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I grew up in the church and struggled a little through my teenage years with gaining my own understanding and testimony of it all.. when I was 18 and in Italy on my own, I read the Book of Mormon, with a sincere desire to know the truth of it and it was then that my testimony became cemented and has been deeply rooted ever since. I'm thankful for the experiences I have had, good & bad, that have helped strengthen my faith. I hope to continue to fortify & strengthen my testimony and I know it is only by following the example of the Saviour that we can be truly, eternally happy. I continue to follow His gospel because I know my life is much more joyful and blessed when I do.

How I live my faith

I attend church weekly and really enjoy the uplifting, edifying affect it has in my life. I love the people, I have formed many lasting friendships there. I love the basic principles that we are taught that help me to live a clean, happy, fulfilling life. Things like faith, prayer, repentance & forgiveness, keeping my body free of alcohol & drugs, and serving others all contribute to the joy & gratitude I feel in my life, for my Saviour & my fellow beings. I am grateful for and try to participate in as many Ward & Stake activities as I can. I love going to Stake Balls, Ward camps & Christmas parties & other activities. I never miss the opportunity to hear our Prophet and Apostles speak at General conference each April & October - I look forward to it each time. I love to attend the Temple, it feels like home when I am there. There is no place more beautiful. I love to read the scriptures & pray - especially with my family, and I have always enjoyed Monday night Family Home Evenings.
